What are ANIMADS?
We like to call our product ANIMADS (for animated advertising) because they are different from traditional Public Service Announcements. ANIMADS resemble animated music videos
original story and music appropriate to the target group. This approach makes them very popular with radio and TV stations because they are entertaining and dynamic in addition to being informative.
Knowing Your Target
Effective social marketing depends on knowing who the message needs to be directed to and the psychological and/or social characteristics of that audience: what makes them listen to and respect the information and what might make them act on that knowledge?
Mass Media Moves Mountains
The development and production of good radio and TV spots (especially animated ones) can be prohibitively expensive to small organizations. Relying on the pro bono involvement of professionals makes planning and implementation difficult.
Sharing the Load
Foresight & Imagination inhabits the niche between large communications/advertising/marketing firms, and the tightly funded NGO's, non-profit, charitable and government organizations who have issues and information for the public. By bringing sponsors and funders together the resources of several entities can share the load for a message that needs to get out. With simple and entertaining approaches to radio, TV and the Web, ANIMADS will educate effectively while operating in a budget that is accessible. Customization for recognition of sponsors can still occur, and the message is one that can be supported by more than one organization, chapter or jurisdiction. ANIMADS act locally and spread globally.
Content is King
ANIMADS are created about subjects that we know and are based on firm research. Knowledge of target audiences is also "borrowed" from the market research of others trying to reach the same market to sell them clothes, music, soft drinks (and yes, beer!). The ANIMAD concept aims to reach into the content hungry programming of cable channels and the vast programming universe of satellites and the World Wide Web.
